Project Management Fundamentals and Project Management Professional (PMP®) Exam Preparation

This course offers an in-depth review of the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ® Guide) using experience examples to reinforce project management best practice concepts, techniques, and tools.  Participants will also be exposed to questions from the PMP® exam and have the opportunity to take a practice exam.  By the end of the class, each participant will:

  • Recognize PM Concepts:  FIVE PM Process Groups:  Initiating Planning, Executing Monitoring & Controlling, Closing and NINE PM Knowledge Areas:  Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Communications, Human Resources, Procurement, Risk Management.
  • Be able to apply PM Techniques:  PM deliverables to successfully manage the Nine Knowledge Areas in each of the Five Process Groups
  • Possess knowledge of PM Tools:  Forms, Templates and/or Worksheets to facilitate effective and efficient implementation of PM best practices
  • Be exposed to the PMP® Exam and develop their study plan to achieve PMP® certification
